Sally Helmerich, Tom Chappell, Larry Helmerich, and baby Sean Chappell

I'm wearing a shirt from when the Olympics came to Los Angeles in 1984. At about this time, I weighed (for one day), 179.5 pounds. It was my lowest weight basically since recorded history -- I weighed 180 in high school, which was already 11 years earier, even then.

There is a gold Chinese character hanging on the right-hand wall, but it is reflecting the flash almost perfectly.

I'm not sure what the date was, exactly, but Sean is already holding his bottle by himself. And look at how his eyes are on Mom, taking the picture!
