I don't know, myself, what that rating was during his first term before 9/11, but I'm willing to bet this month's rent money that it was well under 51%. An interesting plot to see would be the popularity "arcs" from pre-9/11 through to today, for each of various groups. Still, you have to be impressed that a president has actually managed to have LESS THAN ZERO black American supporters. Way to go, George!
